This HSE Specialist role oversees the implementation of the Company Health and Safety Management system. You will be contributing to the defining approach on how the company requirements will executed within the facility at Bournville, and will contribute to develop the road map, monitoring its progress. Main Responsibilities: Responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes in his/her area of the factory (Areas defined and reviewed once a year). Participate and lead investigations using the company RCA tool to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances, following up where relevant. Contribute to the DMS meetings and ensure they are designed and lead to contribute to the road map. Understand relevant technical requirements in Health & Safety, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and company policies. Ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted, followed up and action implemented to identify hazards and prevent injuries. Ensure the facility standards are in compliance with both Company and governmental/community regulations. Ensure the facility standards are rolled out. Ensure training and coaching are taking place to drive a safety interdependancy culture and to ensure Health & Safety standards and awareness are well understood in the area of responsibility. Assist with external regulator visits such as the Health & Safety Executive, Environment Agency, and Fire Brigade ensuring the right level of due diligence. Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position. Candidate Requirements: Experience as a Health & Safety practitioner. Experience in driving Safety culture change is needed. Process Safety Management capabilities would be preferred. Master Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Environment or Safety essential.
