SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Walsall Duration: Full time, on going Salary: £60-80 per day
Requirements: SEND school-based Experience Valid ‘Team Teach’ qualification SEMH, SEBD, ODD, ADHD and autism needs experience Available Immediately on a full time basis Level 1 safeguarding certificate Recent school-based references Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport Full DBS – registered on the update service
The School/role: I am currently seeking a male SEN teaching assistant to work within a challenging PRU in Walsall.
Due to the needs of the students you must be a male. You will need to be team teach trained, hold the certificate and it be in date. This is because you will need to use it daily.
You will be working with students who have severe SEMH, SEBD, ADHD, ODD and autism.
In order to qualify for this role you need to have worked with these needs previously. You will be the students mentor and academic helped. So as well as restraining them, you will also need to be able to help them with learning to integrate back into society and help with all their core subjects.
