Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit an Electrical Engineer/Technician. Babcock is one of the leading specialist training companies in the UK rail industry, delivering a wide range of training services to over 3,000 delegates per annum.
You will join our contract with Network Rail to deliver training to first year apprentices. The first year focuses on developing the individual and giving the apprentices the skills and understanding of first principles in engineering, which they can apply in years two and three, as they work towards achieving competence in their chosen technical discipline.
You’ll be part of a large team of Apprenticeship Trainers who provide training at the dedicated site of Westwood Development Centre, Coventry. Westwood has bespoke engineering training equipment and the mechanical and electrical workshops have been specifically fitted out to meet all the academic requirements and deliver a world-class engineering training programme.
What do I need to do the role?
You’ll need to be a qualified Electrician/Electrical Engineer to a minimum of HNC, NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
You will also need to be confident in delivering training alongside other Trainers to groups of up to 16, be able to mark all work and provide feedback to students and write student progress reports.
What else do I need to know?
Salary is £33,000 to £36,000 per annum dependent on experience with excellent benefits
Initially a 12 months FTC with strong likeliness of becoming a permanent position.
