Job description          

Connex Education are looking for an experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant in the Sutton Coldfield area who are confident working with a pupil who has Autism.
The Schools we are working with are looking for Teaching Assistants with experience of working with a range of needs including SLD, MLD, PMLD, SEMH and ASD aged between the ages of 5 and 16 years. You may get requested to support pupils on a 1:2:1 basis and you must be willing to provide personal care.

Connex will offer fantastic rates of pay, support from your consultant and the chance of building relationships with a range of SEND Schools throughout Wigan.
All applicants must have at least 6 months experience of working with SEND Pupils.

The successful applicant will:
– Have recent experience supporting young people with Special Educational Needs in a SEN or mainstream setting
– Be Level 2 or 3 qualified in supporting Teaching and Learning or have a Health and Social or Education focused certificate of higher education
– Be Team Teach trained or willing to undertake Team Teach training with Connex Education
– Be willing to work in a range of Special Schools and Alternative Provisions
– Adhere to school policies and procedures and be willing to take lead from senior staff
– Hold a UK Driving Licence (Beneficial but not compulsory)
