St Julian's School is a thriving over-subscribed comprehensive school that has an outstanding reputation within the local community as a result of quality teaching, constructive support for pupils and improving student attainment. We are a large secondary school with around 1,450 students currently on roll.
We require a Midday Supervisor to work for 1 hour a day (5 hours per week), Monday - Friday, (1:10 pm - 2:10 pm), term-time only.
Duties will include:
Arriving in school by 1:10 pm promptly (signing in at Main Reception).Arranging for students to line up in an orderly way.Supervising the canteen and wiping tables down.Ensuring that students return plates, cutlery, etc to the central collection point.Reporting to a member of the Leadership Team any concerns that arise through contact with students. These concerns may include suspicions of bullying or bad behaviour.Adopting a fair and consistent approach in dealing with students in line with the schools behaviour policy.Building positive relationships with children.Anticipating potential trouble spots.
Any other duty that may reasonably be requested by the Headteacher or member of the Leadership Team.
The successful applicant will be able to deal calmly with situations and problems as they arise, often unexpectedly. They must also be able to talk to students and staff confidently.
The closing date for applications is midnight on Tuesday 27th August 2019 and interviews will take place on Tuesday 3rd September 2019. Ideally, we would like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
