Edwards are looking to appoint a Brand and Digital Specialist on a contract basis to be based in our Clevedon site.
This role will manage and spport the activities for the implementation and maintenance of the Semiconductor and SEMI Service Divisions Edwards brand and potentially any future brands adopted within the division. The role reports into the Marketing Communication Manager with the supervision of the B&D manager but there is also an expectation for cross divisional, within the BA, Edwards brand engagement with the appropriate Communication Manager.
Brand Activation - Set up a network of Brand champions throughout the organisation and host quarterly meetings to ensure best practice sharing including feedback on how the brand promise is being implemented across Vacuum Technique
Brand proposition – Develop & maintain a distinctive, differentiated & engaging brand propositions for Edwards Brand in line with the brand definition created by Semiconductor Marcomms, deliver in Semi and rollout to other divisional Comms managers
Brand People & culture – work closely with HR and internal communications to align the Edwards brand and the Atlas Copco Vacuum Technique culture to enable Semiconductor and Semiconductor Service employees to ‘live the Edwards brand’ and foster one identity across the two divisions. Develop brand messaging for internal communication and engagement
Brand Guidelines - Governance and ownership of the Edwards brand, guidelines, logo and use – ensure they are kept up-to-date, enforced and evolve with the business. Monitor brand activity ensuring a consistent tone of voice and look and feel through all communications. Responsible for identifying any issues, initiating corrective action where necessary and communicating updates to all key global stakeholders
Brand guidelines – Liaising with the Divisional Comms Managers to design and evolve the brand guidelines as necessary, providing direction and support where needed
Brand Propositions - Work with key stakeholders & the other divisional comms managers to ensure we bring the differentiated value propositions for Edwards brand to support customer engagement, shows and website.
Brand monitoring - Foster consistent measurement, robust analytics and focus on results to continuously improve effectiveness and ROI of the Brand and Brand Activation

Working with VP Marketing, Divisional Comms Managers and key stakeholders to pull together the business requirements and scope for a new Edwards website, fully project manage the build and delivery and deliver to agreed timelines and approved budget
Work with suppliers and stakeholders throughout the development cycle. Duties include writing design and technical briefs, scoping technical development projects with colleagues and suppliers, gathering requirements from audiences, delivering quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing of new Edwards website
Monitor trends in web development and user behaviour, using findings to inform content and technical development and act as advisor to key stakeholders
Drive content planning, strategy and execution for the Edwards website to ensure the site content is optimised to maximise hits from the target audience
Work with all relevant teams to improve performance and meet their targets through maximising the effectiveness of digital channels
Ensure that all web site projects are aligned with projects being undertaken by Mark Williams and IT.
Oversee analytics, social media monitoring and user testing to measure impact and inform strategic direction and development
Collaboratively determine targets/KPI’s on key areas of web site success within Semi and Semi Service
Work with Divisional Communications Managers to ensure best use of digital channels to improve awareness and inclination to support Edwards brand.
Skills and experience:
Bachelors degree/ Marketing qualification/ CIM acreditation
Fluent in English both oral and writtern.
10 -15 years’ experience in marketing, communications & digital in a B2B environment
Proven track record in leading and managing teams and experience of managing across different cultures
Working knowledge of digital platforms and content management systems
Working knowledge of how to translate technology-driven messages into targeted value propositions focused towards the customer
