What we are looking for:
In this role, you will be working across Key Stage 2 to support the academic and social & emotional development of our pupils across the phase. Your duties will specifically include:-
supervising and encouraging safe behaviour of individuals and groups
developing a relationship with children identified as needing support
carrying out interventions to support social, emotional and mental health
carrying out interventions to support learning of core subjects
supporting learning in the classroom, including carrying out and adapting teachers plans to support the needs of groups or individuals
supporting positive behaviour and play at break and lunchtimes
liaising closely with the class teacher, inclusion leader, parents and other professionals
Occasional cover of classes to allow teachers to carry out work with specific groups of children
Contributing to our whole school breakfast initiative through preparation of food and interaction with children.
You will be confident in working with children with specific educational needs, including SEMH needs. You will be organised and able to think on your feet in order to meet the needs of all pupils and to support your team to provide an outstanding education for our pupils. You will be appropriately qualified. You will be a highly committed professional with a high level of emotional intelligence, and keen to create something unique and move beyond expectations in learning for life. You will share our passion to deliver an outstanding student experience and have the ability to deliver outstanding results. You will be an excellent communicator. About the Academy & Cabot Learning Federation
The Cabot Learning Federation is the largest non-diocesan academy group in the South West. We currently are sponsoring academies in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Weston-Super-Mare; six secondary, eight primary, one all-through academy and a Studio School. The Federation also has an overarching CLF Post 16 and specialist inclusion centres.
