Orthopeadic Practitioner Trainee

Job description          

The orthopedic Out Patient Department at Weston Area Health Trust is looking for a friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our plaster room team as an Orthopedic Practitioner/Technician Trainee. You will need to have the NVQ level 3 qualification. This is a 36 hour/wk permanent position.
You will learn all types of plaster/brace application as well as wound care. You will be trained by qualified practitioners for a minimum of 12 months. You will be based within the orthopedic outpatient department but will be expected to work with other departments within the multidisciplinary team. The post is Band 3 rising to Band 4 on completion of training and you will be expected to remain with WAHT for 2 years post training. If you leave within the 2 years you will be required to pay WAHT the cost of training.

Upon reaching the required standard, you will attend a training course with the British Orthopedic Association.
