About PartsPlus Ford of Britain have launched a National Network of Parts Plus Centres that will provide an exceptional range of services all designed to support the sale of trade parts directly to independent repairers and body shops. Parts Plus has been designed to focus on meeting the needs of existing and new trade customers and your local Parts Plus Centre will hold extensive, competitively priced stock of Genuine Ford, Motorcraft and Omnicraft parts, supplied through a reliable, regular and professional delivery service. Parts Plus has been carefully designed with a core focus on local business knowledge. You will receive friendly and helpful advice from product experts and will be able to take advantage of the many exciting product and marketing promotions and offers that will be available within the Parts Plus programme. We are currently recruiting for a Parts Ware House Apprentice to join our team at Gates of Stortford.
Reporting to the Centre Supervisor, the Warehouse Apprentice will assist with the efficient and effective control of inbound and outbound warehouse parts stock whilst supporting the provision of an excellent service to customers
Key activities will include: Handling Stock Check all incoming stock deliveries against pack notes and ensure all parts have a parts number Picking Orders Advise on any discrepancies promptly; marking paperwork accordingly Check for damages on incoming parts orders and record any issues Identify and place inbound parts into the correct locations (stock items, customer orders etc.) Pick customer orders quickly and accurately to make ready for dispatch Ensure that authorised signatures, receipts or payments are received for all parts issued over the trade counter Adhere to First In, First Out (FIFO) stock control management processes Stock Integrity Maintain stock securely and in good condition Assist the Warehouse Operative with regular perpetual stock checks to ensure that the physical stock agrees with the computerised inventory Ensure faster moving parts are in a convenient location to improve picking efficiency Customer Service Provide the highest levels of customer service by picking parts accurately and assembling for the customer delivery runs Where applicable, ensure that trade customers that visit the Centre are dealt with efficiently and quickly Systems and processes Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times (particularly manual handling practices) Follow and comply with established business processes and guidelines (including warranty) Deal with exchange units appropriately and process returns swiftly Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly Utilise and update all systems effectively to carry out allotted tasks In order to be successful for the Warehouse Operative position, you must: Hold GCSE’s in Maths & English Be interested in gaining a qualification in warehouse control Be able to take & carry out instructions in a fast-paced environment Have a basic understanding of customer service skills and identify the customer as the most important person in our business. Demonstrate a positive ‘can-do' attitude and an honest disposition Be able to lift and carry heavy items Skills you will require: Computer literate – able to use appropriate systems and software (e.g. Excel) CDK/Kerridge experience desirable Ability to work in a small team, as well using own initiative Ability to record information accurately and legibly A methodical approach and pay attention to detail Good communication skills – verbal and written Ref: Working Hours Location Bishops Stortford Salary Negotiable depending on experience Benefits 25 days holiday per annum, full pension after qualifying period Closing Date 30/06/2019
