About the role
Here at Babcock International, we’re looking to recruit a Logistic/Warehouse Operative.
You’ll be responsible for all issues and receipts of technical equipment, receipts and issues of gas bottles and deliveries and collections from all sections within RAF Henlow. You’ll also unpack and check equipment and pack equipment for road and air, including dangerous goods, and any other tasks, as directed by the Base Supply Supervisor.
Ensure that collections and deliveries are carried out IAW current regulations
Receipt / storage and Issue of Stores using MJDI + consignment tracking system (Adequate training will be provided).
Carry out stocktaking / snap check programmes as and when required.
Ensuring all collections of serviceable and u/s equipment is actioned in accordance with procurement policy, regulations and best practice.
Responsible for the Health & Safety of themselves and of visitors to their department IAW the Station SHE Manual / regulations and HSAWA 1974.
Take on additional tasks as detailed by the Base Supply Supervisor / SCAS Supervisor / LS R & D that is relevant to the TSSP / HADES contract.
What do I need to do the role?
You’ll need knowledge of RAF Supply procedures + CP&F and a forklift licence.
What else do I need to know?
