Shift Pattern – 4 days on and 4 days off rotation.

Due to expansion we are looking for Care Workers across the fife area.. We are looking for drivers and walkers on Full time, Part time and Relief contracts offered. Shift patterns are 7 am – 2.30pm and 4pm until 10pm. We work on 4 day on and 4 day off shift pattern. We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and flexible people who must be willing to work every second weekend, We work on a 2 week rotation system.

Previous care experience is desirable. However, if you don’t have experience you will need to demonstrate some customer service skills as a basis to build on. We offer a full training programme with ongoing personal development within 1st Homecare.

1st Homecare is a specialist provider of personalised homecare support operating throughout Scotland.
As a Care Worker you may be expected to help with individual’s personal care, supporting with medication and meal preparation along with a variety of other tasks. You will need to work well within a team structure and maintain effective communication. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a good understanding of English.
You should be able to engage fully with the people receiving support, actively communicating and engaging on all levels. You will be required to document all support given in the care diaries. We strive on Individualised care, therefore the desire and commitment to support others and to deliver the highest level of care is vital.
All successful applicants will be provided with full induction and necessary training involving both eLearning & classroom-based activity.
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with Vulnerable Adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scotland PVG Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to undertake and fund PVG membership and SSSC Registration within 6 months of employment.
