Payroll Specialist To join a brand new payroll team within the Stena Line group. To be part of a new, exciting and dynamic team developing the digital agenda within our area. In a qualitative and professional way, manage and process all data for payrolls on both a weekly and monthly basis. Co-ordinate with HR, Manning and the Vessels to ensure that data is actioned in a swift and correct manner. Attention to detail is key in this role as is an ability to work with others in a fast paced environment to ensure that an exceptionally high level of service and accuracy is provided throughout the business. A positive and forward thinking outlook and the bility to work as part of a team but also by yourself is important to this role. Main Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring that payroll data is actioned in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for reconciling the payrolls to ensure accuracy of calculation and prepare the necessary documentation. To ensure that all funding for payrolls, bank files and cost files are produced and actioned in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for third party payments and communication with the necessary partners to ensure timely payment. To ensure all FPS/EPS submissions are done on time. To have extensive knowledge of pensions auto enrolement and ensure any changes are applied to the system and employees in a timely and accurate manner. Assist the Personnel, HR teams and vessels with any queries relating to payroll. Support other team members and provide cover for their payroll responsibilities as and when required. To ensure system changes are applied and tested in a timely manner. To work with external system vendors with regards to any changes that require to be made to the systems. To continually strive for ways to work in a smarter manner to ensure the business continues to evolve. To compile and manage updates for an end to end payroll process document. Requirements At least 5 years payroll experience. Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel. Accustomed to working in a fast-paced payroll environment. Excellent numeric skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations. Knowledge of the Martitime industry is advantageous but not essential. Personal Qualities Good communication and inter-personal skills Adaptable, flexible and reliable.
