This role could suit a student (higher education, degree level or equivalent) or a recent graduate looking for some temporary work over the summer with immediate availability?
We have an exciting short term opportunity to join our busy HR department based at St Mary’s Hospital, Newport to provide administration support to our Resourcing Team. We are a busy department, recruiting a diverse range of healthcare professionals and support staff across the Isle of Wight NHS Trust.
We value the importance of team work and can offer you the opportunity to gain valuable work based/ HR Recruitment experience within a friendly, supportive team.
You’ll need to have strong administration skills, ability to work with volume in a fast-paced environment and good knowledge of all Microsoft packages.
The role primarily involves coordinating pre-employment checks, such as checking candidates’ ID, sending references as well as making up new starter packs, photocopying, filing and speaking to people either face-to-face or over the telephone.
The ideal candidate for this role will…
Be customer focused with strong customer service skills
Have excellent organisation and communication skills
Have strong MS Package knowledge to include Word, Excel and Outlook
Possess a proactive and adaptable approach to their work

The role will include…
Complete pre-employment checks (right to work, references, Occupation health, ID, qualification and registration checks) within agreed procedures
Accurately update our electronic recruitment system
Providing general advice and support as required
Working closely with the wider resourcing team(s) to provide ad-hoc administration support where required
