We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive individual to take on the role of Diagnostic Clinical Liaison Officer at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
The Diagnostics Clinical Liaison Officer will be the key liaison point between the PACS management team and the wider clinical body. In conjunction with the wider Informatics and PACS management team the post holder is expected to ensure that RIS, PACS and other clinical imaging systems meet the highly demanding, wide ranging and ever-changing requirements of Clinicians and the NHS.
The postholder will assist the Chief Information Officer, PACS clinical lead and wider Informatics department in the development of strategic plans in relation to the use of the Radiology IT systems, PACS and other Clinical Imaging systems within the Trust. This will include working with the local PACS and RIS (SWASH) consortium to consider the national strategic direction of clinical imaging systems, the impact this might have locally including the potential risks and opportunities.
The successful candidate will have recent practical experience of working in a radiology or other imaging department where IT systems are extensively used. They will require experience of building strong relationships across staff groups meaning they will have excellent communication skills to ensure effective multi-disciplinary team-working and communicate complex information at an appropriate level to service users. They will have excellent prioritisation skills, change management experience and self-motivation to drive change cross the Trust.
