Accounts Payable Clerk

Job description          

In this role you’ll help us to provide a high quality Accounts Payable service. You will need to have strong communication and influencing skills and be able to deal with confrontational situations and sustain and build relationships with NHSBT Suppliers and internal budget holders. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the prompt processing and correct authorisation of supplier invoices to the NHSBT Purchase Ledger, also resolving complex invoice queries, reconciling supplier statements and liaising with internal colleagues on a variety of subjects. Working in a timely fashion, you’ll also maintain accurate records and adhere to any standing instructions or procedures. Educated to GCSE standard Mathematics and English or equivalent, preferably with Purchase ledger experience, and previous experience working in a financial services environment together with facility in related software packages. Confident working as part of a team, you have strong communication skills, an eye for accuracy and the ability to achieve your aims quickly. Flexible and confident working with minimum of supervision.
