Why this role matters
All the roles in the Haydock team, play an importance within the operation. The role is the heart beat of the operation therefore the candidate plays a pivitol key role in getting the deliveries out to the customer in a safe and efficient way. Making the right decisions within this role ultimately delivers our KPI’s to the customer. This role also has a financial impact which the shifts will sit with myself to discuss the performance of the site/ shift and were we can be more effective in our decisions.
What you'll be doing
Providing instructions and monitoring the performance of the Transport and Loading operationContributng toward the implementation of Supply Chain and LOB strategiesSupervising the analysis of the Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive and Tachographs; operating within the BT and Industry Health and Safety legislation Safety and Work ActCreating a culture which embraces continuous improvement through robust and effective performance management and engagement practicesAssigning work and organising the operation to ensure effective deployment of resources to achieve Distribution Grade of Service and in line with budgetDeveloping and maintaining effective relationships with key suppliers and internal business partners to ensure business benefits are delivered and meet operational needsSupporting the management team who will have responsibility for the achievement of LOB service SLAsCoaching/ developing team members to the standard required to meet business targets

Warehouse experience – due to the nature of our business in Supply Chain it’s imperative the candidate has previous Warehouse experience and knows how an operation operatesTransport experience – again with the operation we run comes with legislation and decisions made could affect BT’s Operators Licence.Fork Lift Truck – essential that the candidate has an in date FLT licence as this is a major part of the roleComputer skills – there are systems and reports that are involved with this role therefore I need the candidate to have experience in dealing with different Warehouse / Transport systemsPeople Person – I’ve built this team from scratch and with the above skills I like to then look at the individual and if they are a team player. We are a close knit team at Haydock and work closely together therefore need the candidate to be an engaging individual

Occasional UK travel required.
Recruiting for fixed shift pattern, either AM or PM shift:
AM - 05:00-13:00
PM - 21:00-05:00
