About the Role: We have a vacancy for an Experienced Support Worker to join a small existing friendly team, supporting individuals with a learning disability to lead a full and meaningful life. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, share your experiences and really make a difference to the lives of those we support.

It may be that you want a change, fresh start or just want to bring your skills to a new Service, where at the same time you can benefit from support and guidance from the management team. There will be an opportunity for you to access our bespoke training package.
The ideal candidate for this post will have experience in supporting people with learning disabilities. Within this role you will need an understanding of, medication procedures, safeguarding policies and procedures, motivation skills, be self-motivated, flexible and organised.
About the Service: Cherry is currently an all-male residential home, registered to accommodate 2 individuals with autism and learning disabilities. The individuals we support may have communication difficulties which requires staff to use a varied communication package and may display behaviours which can be deemed as challenging.
The service adopts team work to support our individuals in a person centred, active support approach. We look to promote the development of both social and daily living skills, leading towards maintaining and increasing independence. The aim of Cherry is to give the individuals we support the skills and confidence to achieve their full potential and progress along their care pathway to more independent living. A person centred approach to support individuals to achieve their identified outcomes in life.
