Student Support Desk Coordinator

There are two posts, which are full time, 35 hours per week and fixed term until 31 July 2021.
The Operations Team within the Student and Academic Services is seeking two enthusiastic, motivated and organised individuals with experience of dealing with students, with support, access and language needs.
We are seeking two professional, efficient and committed individuals to provide information, advice and guidance in response to student and staff enquiries via the physical Student Support Desk and the virtual Student Hub. The post holders will deliver professional, high quality, appropriate and effective customer service to students and staff.
The Student Support Desk – West End offers advice, information, support and development opportunities to current and prospective students. Students benefit from a wide range of initiatives, activities, schemes and services that enhance their experience at Westminster. The desk is located in 101 New Cavendish Street (West End) and is open Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. Following the new strategy, we are planning to move the services to another West End location, Marylebone Building.
Student appointments are mainly managed by Engage System (Careers Hub). The post holder is required to oversee the booking system and implement changes to improve the student experience.
All appointments are made on the understanding that staff will serve at any of the service points should the need arise. Post holders will work in accordance with agreed service levels. Post holders can be expected to be scheduled for work at any University site between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm. However, the role will be mainly based in 101 New Cavendish Street, pending to move location. They will be required to work Saturdays and evenings during Open Days and Recruitment Events; additional remuneration or time off lieu is made to staff required to work on Saturdays as part of their normal core of hours.
