The Business Brain on the Leadership Team, working to deliver the Holy Trinity (Make Great Work, Have Fun & Make a Living) by focusing on the health and wealth of the account and account teams. The Business Lead builds and sustains long term and meaningful relationships with senior clients, seeking out business development opportunities and ensuring healthy profitability on the account. This creates the positive and energised environment from which great creative work can flourish.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall leadership of a piece of business, championing and driving the agenda to allow us to make the best work possible.Creation and ownership of the scope and contract.Defining the team structure for the piece of business (with input from Strategy, Creative and Production).Fee negotiations alongside the FD and client procurement.A thorough understanding of the client business, objectives and ambitions to drive rich conversations and collective opportunities.Business development - identify opportunities for quick wins and long-term opportunities as well as being vigilant and aware of potential risk.Setting the landscape for the account by defining key processes and milestones (the Mother manages the delivery of this).Building strong relationships with senior members of the inter-agency teams to build strategic partnerships.Lead, inspire and motivate. Define the temperature, tempo and momentum on an account and ensure the wellbeing of the team.Inspire and excite the agency with the client ambitions.Manage the environment to create the best conditions for great work and clear the path that that leads to outstanding creativity.Delivering Mothers Holy Trinity. Specific accountability for “make a living’ part.Manage agency remuneration, profitability & margin, overall account efficiencies, driving the business commercially and having full ownership of financial management.Ensure the team are responsible with the clients’ budgets (creative development and production).Effective resource planning, and use of resource.Monthly quarterly finance and servicing meetings with MD.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
You must come from a strong Account Management background, with a track record of delivering strategically sound, creatively excellent communications solutions on globally recognised campaigns.
You will have a rigorous understanding and solid history of delivering traditional advertising campaigns, but also be able to demonstrate their ability to deliver unique, innovative solutions for clients outside of traditional advertising formats and channels.
You must be able to provide a portfolio that shows definitive signs of delivering excellence in communications, creative thinking and strategic awareness.
You will have experience leading account teams, being responsible for brand consistency across markets, and developing communications for brands.
You must have experience in leading senior board level client relationships, holding a full understanding of client business and panoramic view of what the client needs to achieve from a business standpoint.
An ability to express an opinion and have a real point of view in a dynamic and collaborative environment is key, along with confidence and enthusiasm. Candidates will need to demonstrate that they are capable and confident in presenting their own ideas and having open, collaborative creative discussions with both clients and colleagues.
Experience working in agencies in more than one market is essential.
Must provide satisfactory references and be highly proficient in English.
