Cleaner / Handyperson - Bank Staff

Job description          

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Centre Manager (or Trustee) and in accordance with the practices and procedures of the Centre, to help maintain upkeep of the premises. The hours of attendance for work will be determined by the needs of the Centre and undertaken by agreement with the Centre Manager (or Trustee).

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleaner
1. Cleaning will include, but is not exclusive, mopping, sweeping floors, waxing floors, vacuuming, polishing, dusting, cleaning toilets and general up keep of the Centre
2. Making safe any hazards, ensuring areas are cordoned off if required.
3. Keeping all equipment thoroughly cleaned
4. Escalate all issues of health, safety and welfare to the Centre Manager/Receptionist
5. Reporting any issues or defects to the Centre Manager/Receptionist

Handyperson
1. To undertake tasks such as minor repairs to the premises, fixtues, fittings & equipment, installation, maintenance, painting and assembly of items.
2. Maintaining our small outside areas, including clearing litter and weeds and clearing ice and snow.
3. Take full advantage of any relevant training and development available.
