There has never been a more exciting time to join us. Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (T&G IC) will provide the foundation for one of the first ICOs in England, bringing together a wide range of health and social care services for the benefit of local people. The ICO will manage a person’s entire care in the future, by linking up hospital services with community care and mental health services as well as working closely with GPs.
We expect that, to fully transform these services, will take between three and five years. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our hardworking team off staff within the radiology department at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.
About you An opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Health Care Assistant to join our busy Radiology department. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills when liaising with patients, carers and members of the multidisciplinary team. It would be expected that you ensure accurate record keeping and documentation. You must be calm under pressure, assist patients and staff during all examinations.
You will be expected to assist Radiographers in CT, MR, Ultrasound, fluoroscopy, breast imaging and General X ray Department. You may also be asked to assist in interventional procedures including biopsies, aspirations and drainages alongside consultant radiologists, ultra-sonographers and radiographers.
You need to be highly motivated, dynamic person who prides themselves on delivering a high standard of patient care. You must have a strong sense of team work and be able to get along with members of the wider team. You should demonstrate a passion for continued improvement and changes within the ever changing NHS.
