Main Theatres - Scrub Practitioner

Job description          

A great opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and driven theatre practitioner to work as an integral part of the urology/cardiac and vascular scrub team at Manchester Royal Infirmary. To apply, you should be a registered nurse or ODP with valid registration who is interested in working within a theatre team.

The department is supported by an established Education and Development team who will guide and support you in your new role. We offer an excellent supernumerary orientation and induction programme for all our new starters, individually tailored to your current level of knowledge and experience

You will be based primarily at the Manchester Royal Infirmary Theatres, but cross-site working may be necessary. As a key member of our committed and talented team and you'll need the ability to work flexibly to support the service level requirements and be able to adapt to changes in the NHS. It is also vital that you are a team player with a professional focus on the service delivery and demonstrate a commitment to high quality individualised patient care, also enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated with proven experience in the Operating Department.

We are able to support the right candidates with a flexible approach to work that encourages a healthy work life balance. However, we expect the emergency/trauma/orthopaedic scrub team to partake in nights, lates, weekends and on call so as to provide a 24 hour 7 days a week emergency service.
