Regulatory Advisor

Job description          

A Global chemical manufacture are currently seeking a Regulatory Advisor to assume responsibility for the products and associated safety documentation in the form of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), product labelling, packaging and poison centre notifications. Knowledge of CLP, REACH and the requirements for SDS in Europe is essential for this position with experience using SDS authoring software. A Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor qualification would be deemed advantageous.

Regulatory Advisor – responsibilities of the role include:

Regulatory compliance of products and associated safety documentation in the form of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), product labelling and packaging
As regulatory Support Advisor you will input into various processes within the business across different departments including Technical, Marketing and Sales
Create and maintain formulation and finished goods safety data sheets in multiple languages.
Communicate relevant information to allow NPD teams to ensure compliance in sales region by incorporating all necessary attributes into product design
Remain up to date with all relevant legislation in countries affecting products including but not limited to; REACH, GHS, CLP, UN Transport, Biocidal Products, Aerosols, VOC and Detergents regulations
Working closely with distributors to ensure regulatory compliance
Conduct regular assessments of the regulatory landscape and identify likely changes to establish potential business impact, then communicate this effectively across relevant business functions
Continuously review and seek to improve information creation and flow, systems & processes to ensure efficient servicing of internal and external customer requirements
Communicate with suppliers to ensure relevant regulatory information is made available

You will be a Regulatory advisor ideally Degree qualified / equivalent in relevant scientific area, chemistry (preferable) and be working in a similar industry environment, preferably in FMCG with regulatory compliance responsibilities for the EMEA region. A Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor qualification would be deemed advantageous, however full training will be provided. Former experience of SAP would be desirable.
