The Headteacher and Governors are looking to appoint an experienced, Learning Support Assistant to join our hardworking and dedicated team of staff. They would work under the direction of our SENDCO and Learning Mentor, providing high quality 1:1 and small group support to pupils enabling them to access learning and achieve their full potential. Our children are keen learners and we aim to offer them the best in everything we do.
The successful candidate will be expected to support children both within the classroom and support children in a 1:1 situation.
The successful candidates will be:
Flexible in adapting to the changing needs of children and use their initiative
Positive –have a growth mindset and high expectations of all children and themselves
Have previous experience of working in EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Hardworking – committed to our main aim of supporting children’s learning
A team player – work together with teachers and other staff members promoting our school ethos, values and vision.
Professional, reliable and have excellent interpersonal skills
Confident and experienced –have a proven track record of working with children of primary age range, supporting children with special educational needs and working with outside agencies
Adaptable and be able to use their initiative and have excellent behaviour management strategies
Academically able and competent in Maths and English
