Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science

Due to the successes in Biosciences, we are continuing our programme of expansion as the department seeks a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science on a teaching and practice pathway, to contribute to the delivery of our Biomedical Science portfolio of courses. A key part of your role will be involvement in the delivery of our new level 6 degree apprenticeship BSc Applied Biomedical Science. In addition, you will provide support for our e-learning MSc Biomedical Science students, students on placements and the training of NHS colleagues who employ and supervise our students. You will also contribute to the delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate full-time Biomedical Science programmes. You will have experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas: cellular pathology, haematology and transfusion science, clinical microbiology, clinical biochemistry. Membership of the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and HCPC Registration are essential and a good working knowledge of the IBMS Registration Training Portfolio is highly desirable. You will work within our rapidly evolving Clifton Campus, a multi-award-winning site including a recently opened interdisciplinary science and technology building, with state-of-the-art bioscience research and teaching labs. A medical technology innovation facility and a building for engineering are due for completion in 2019/20. Recent times has led to many awards, publicity and recognition for the NTU community, culminating in our receipt of the prestigious Guardian University of the Year award 2019. Along the way, we have recorded some of the highest student satisfaction levels in the country in the 2019 National Student Survey, and achieved the TEF gold standard for the quality of our teaching.
