Inventory & Supplies Co-Ordinator

Job description          

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) is one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country, aspiring to be a leading international centre of excellence for clinical practice and teaching.

This role is part of the Support Buying Team, providing a high quality service to the Trust.

Working within the Supplies & Procurement function and reporting to the Manager & Deputy Manager of the Inventory & Supplies department within UHL, you will provide operational guidance & Supervisory support for the Inventory & Supplies Team based on all UHL hospital sites. The successful applicant will lead on all daily issues in relation to the Supply & distribution of products to wards and departments within the Trust. This includes the daily management of a Materials Management team, the distribution of goods to end user departments and providing support for an electronic stock ordering and management system. The successful candidate will be required to liaise closely with the Trust Procurement team and work across all UHL sites when required to do so.

Candidates should have experience of computer systems, have experience of Electronic Purchasing processes/Stock Management Systems & have proven experience of supervisory protocols in a large organisation. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills at all levels both internally within the department and externally including senior teams and external suppliers.
