Fundraising Events Assistant

Job description          

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work within the Leicester Hospitals Charity team.

Leicester Hospitals Charity exists to support patients, their carers; and the NHS staff who look after them in Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and beyond. We undertake targeted fundraising campaigns and effective management of donations, to provide additional resources, assets and skills which link closely with the strategic aims of University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust for the benefits of our patients.

The successful candidate will join us at a pivotal time working to deliver the Charity's strategy and will be an integral member of the team to achieve our stretching ambition to support the Hospitals to achieve 'Caring at it's Best'.

The Fundraising Events Assistant is an important link between the hospital charity and potential community fundraisers and supporters within the local community. The jobholder will play a leading role in maximising income through delivering fun and high-quality events, supporting community fundraisers, and promoting the Charity to hospital staff as well as patients and their families.

Key responsibilities of the role will include assisting in the all aspects of mailings to existing and prospective charity supporters, from creation to implementation and response administration; responding to enquiries and pledges from the public and staff relating to fundraising for Leicester Hospitals Charity and managing and maintaining contact with existing fundraising supporters (pledges).

The post holder will require strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, experience in working with people face-to-face, strong organisational and administrative skills.
