Credit Controller

Job description          

Credit Controller Role Objective: The primary function of the Credit Controller is to coordinate the collection of customer debts, predominantly in the Nordic region, decide whether to allow credit to a debtor, handle the collection of finances and the resolution of account queries, liaise with relevant departments/clients regarding invoices and credit notes. Key Responsibilities: Assists in the management of the accounts and credits of clients and ensures that ledgers are accurately maintained. Review credit applications, research credit history and accept or reject them based on the information found in accordance with company guidelines Extensive liaison with clients via email, telephone and post to calculate the credit risks of potential clients, contact if payments are declined Timely and effective management of all debts and customer payments Ability to handle multiple accounts on a monthly basis Proactive query resolution – internally and externally Invoice Management – including posting of daily receipts to accounting systems Maintenance of customer files and records including keeping accurate notes Safeguard all primary document and files and ensure they are correctly stored and archived Assisting with the provision of materials in support of the year end statutory audit Support the EMEA Finance team where necessary to enhance the effectiveness of the finance function in assisting the business to meet its profitability and growth objectives Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Previous Credit Controller experience with relevant accounting/finance qualification Excellent communication skills Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP’s/Pivot tables) Strong collection and query management experience – ability to apply problem solving techniques to day to day operations Methodical, attentive to detail and ability to process large volume of transactions Ability to organise, prioritise and work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines Self-motivated with a strong and flexible attitude towards work Knowledge and experience of using accounting system Great Plains would be advantageous Swedish and Danish language skills are not essential but would be advantageous #LI-EI8 No agencies please.
